Understanding God

Jeremiah 5:18:31, NIV

Mapstones highlights:

Is God fair?…’Why has the LORD our God done all this to us?’…forsaken me…served foreign gods…now..serve foreigners in a land not your own …foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear…vs 18-21.

Should you not fear me?” declares the LORD. Should you not tremble in my presence? vs 21…;…sand a boundary..sea…everlasting barrier..waves…cannot cross it…;stubborn and rebellious hearts..turned aside and gone away; …fear the LORD, who gives autumn and spring rains in season…regular weeks of harvest,..your wrongdoings have kept these away; your sins have deprived you of good.vs 24-25; ..wicked men…set traps..cages full of birds,..houses are full of deceit;…become rich and powerful and have grown fat and sleek..evil deeds have no limit…do not plead the case of the fatherless…do not defend the rights of the poor…should I not punish…avenge myself..nation such as this…prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority..

Summary: eyes..see God’s works; ears, hear God’s words; fear God, do good-defend the fatherless abd the poor; sins suspend the consistent blessings of the LORD e.gs seasonal rain and regular harvests; authority of prophesy..not lies. Be on God’s side.

He is my everything…
