…reared children and brought them up…rebelled against me..; an ox knows his master..Israel does not know; sinful nation…brood of evil doers…children given to corruption..forsaken the LORD…whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted…sole of your foot to the top of your head…no soundness..wounds, welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil vs 5-6…country is desolate…fields stripped by foreigners right before you….. Unless the LORD Almighty had left some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah. Hear the word of the LORD….listen to the law of our God. multitude of your sacrifices…no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats..vs 11. Stop bringing meaningness offerings! Your incense is destestable to me..vs 13 sacrifices …burden to me..offer many prayers, will not listen..stop doing wrong learn to do right!..Seek justice, encourage the oppressed “….let us reason together vs 18. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword vs 20. Other consequences of rebellion and sins vs 21-31.
Summary thoughts: consequences and outcomes of sins and rebellion against God to the point that hates the sinful meaningless offerings and not listen to their prayers. Yet by his mercy, He invited then to reason together to repent…be willing and obedient..eat the best from the land. Sometimes bad health or soreness or even allergy maybe due to body reactions to sins-vs 5-6.
