Not easy to hear bad news that is why king Jehoiakim threw the scroll into the fire vs 23 instead of fearing God vs 24 and repents. God commanded 2nd scroll to be rewritten with even heavier judgement than the first vs 29-30..will punish him and his children and his attendants for their wickedness….bring every disaster..pronounced against them, because they have not listened vs 31.
Importance of listening to God’s words; repent from wickedness while there is still time to avert disasters. Never ever provoke God to anger for who can stand his wrath.
