Hosea 5:1-15, NIV
Judgment against Israel
Ephraim, you have now turned to prostitution; Israel is corrupt. Their deeds do not permit them to turn to their God vs 3-4.
When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the LORD, they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them. They are unfaithful to the LORD; they give birth to illegitimate children vs 7.
Now their New Moon festivals will devour them and their fields vs 7.
Obs: unfaithfulness to God have grave consequences (time for mourning) beside their access to God being blocked.
For I will be like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away. I will carry them off , with no-one to rescue them vs 14.. And they will seek my face; in their misery they will earnestly seek me.”-vs 15.

Mary’s Song praising God’s greatness and holiness-vs 46-55…Hg:..all generations will call me blessed…Mighty One has done great thungs for me-holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation vs 48-52.
