Hosea Chapter 8-11, NIV
Spell out Israel’s sins in details; God’s displeasure with Israel. Ephraim (Joseph’s (Egypt) son; one of the twelve tribes) mentioned a few times in the Bible. God’s love is spelled out in Chapter 11 despite Israel’s unfaithfulness and wickedness.
I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from the neck and bent down to feed them. Will they not return to Egypt and will not Assyria rule over then because they refuse to repent? Chapter 10:3-6.
