…plead your case…Hear…listen. the LORD has a case against his people; he is lodging a charge against Israel…How have I burdened you? Answer me-vs 1-3.
What the LORD had done for thevpeople of Israel-vs 4-5…brought you out of Egypr and redeemed you from the land of slavery….sent Moses…also Aaron and Miriam…Balak, King of Moab…and what Balaam…journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of LORD vs 4-5.
…imagine the wonderful feeling of freedom of the Israelites. .no longer under the oppression of slavery for so many years.
How does the people to God’s kindness, guidance and protection? vs 6-8.
…burnt offerings? ..thousands of rams?…etc
He has showed you O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God vs 8.
Listen! The LORD is calling to the city-and to fear your name is wisdom-…vs 9.
The LORD reasoning with the people and highlighting their sins and punishment vs 11-16.
..dishonest scales..bag of false weights..violent. liars..tongues speak deceitfully…begun to destroy you..ruin you because of your sins…eat but not be satisfied….store up but save nothing…plant and not harvest..will press olives but not use the oil on yourselves..observe the statutes of Omri and all the practices of Ahab’s house…will give you over to ruin…bear the scorn of the nations vs 11-16.
