Reflections and thoughts after listening to the sermon by Jason Ong on the True Disciples-28-01-2021
Trust and obey God is the only way. Obedience requires conscious effort. Jesus said one needs to deny oneself; take up the cross daily. God is holy. To deny oneself is to deny or let go or surrender the old selfish, sinful, glutton and insecure self with God’s package of love, mercy, of possibilities, of power, self-control, supreme confidence, fruits of the Spirit: LJP, FKG, FGS, abundance (to be born again). Good times, bad times-praise God, have confidence in Him at all times especially in bad and stormy times of life (tests of true faith-even apostles failed; fraility of mankind. Leverage on God’s greatness and majesty. God does not change; we change. All things works out for good to those who loves God (Romans 8:28). Listen, my friends-Ed, 28-01-2021.
