Micah 2:1-13; 3:1-12
Same consistent message-sins evoke woe, anger, punishment, no answer from God.
Hgs: Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds..vs 1.
Therefore, the LORD says:
“I am planning disaster against this people, from which you cannot save yourselves …no longervwalk proudly…vs 3.
I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel…bring them together like sheep in a pen…vs 12
Chapter 3:
Hgs:
“Listen, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Jacob. Should you not know justice, you who hate good and love evil;….tear the skin from my people…cry out to the LORD, for he will not answer them. At thst time he will hide his face from them because of the evil they have done-vs 1-4.
Obs:
The LORD is for justice, for repentance.
Sins remove blessings. Some of the outcomes or consequences: vs 6-7; vs 12. No answer from God, mournings, ruins-heap or rubbles.
The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will cover their faces because there is no answer from God vs 7.
But as for me, I am filled with power, and the Spirit of the LORD, and with the justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin-vs 8.
Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price…vs 11.
Luke 7:36-50-the woman…brought an alabaster jar of perfume; use her hair with her tears, ..wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them vs 37-38..Pharisee’s comment reflects self-righteousness vs 39.
Therefore I tell you , her many sins have been forgiven-for she loved much vs 47.
Th: For lovers of God and repent, God is very generous, forgiveness of many sins-offers 2nd chance in life. Sins are like debts-costly. Only God can forgive sins.
