Zecariah 1:1-20, NIV
Background
During the second year od Darius (persian king-522 BC-486 BCE).
The word of God came to Zecariah, the prophet via a vision.
‘Return to me, declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you’, says the LORD.-vs 3.
‘Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices …”Then they repented and ssid The LORD Almihghy has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’-vs 6.
Interpretation of Zecariah’s dream vs 8-20.
Luke 9:18-27, NiV
Peter through the Holy Spirit’s inspiration revealed who Jesus is vs 20.
Jesus predicted his suffering, death and resurrection vs 21.
The cost of following Christ vs 23-26….deny himself and follow him.
Hg: What good is it for the man to gain the whole world and yet lose or forfeit his very self? vs 26.
Warning:....anyone ashamed of me and my words…the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his hlory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels vs 26.
Revelation 20:1-6, NIV
Hg: Christ will rule the earth for a thousand years with his saints that were beheaded (first resurrection)…the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.)
Angel has the key to the Abyss……seizedvthe dragon, that ancient serpent…Satan is bound for a thousand years…after that free for a short time…mystery and logic of this…
