Zedekiah did evil in the eyes of the LORD…rebelled against the king of Babylon vs 1-3…captured…his sons slaughtered at Riblah…his eyes are put out..taken to Babylon in bronze shackles vs 9-11; Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard..set fire to the temple of God, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem vs 13…carried all the bronze to Babylon..took as prisoners Seraiah….took them all and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah..Judah went into captivity…Nebuchadnezzar’s eighteenth year..4,600 people carrued into exile.
Evil-Merodach (aka Amel-Maduk) released Jehoiachin exile ki g of Judah…treated with kindness…seat of honour..regularly at the king’s table.a regular allowance..till the day of his death.
