Siege of Jerusalem symbolised..clay tablet..draw Jerusalem on it..difficult to understand and interpretation of the symbols..erect siege..ramp..battering rams…iron pan..lie left side..bear the sin of the house of Israel…lie down again..right side..bear the sin of the house of Judah….Ezekiel symbolised to bear the sin of Israel and Judah vs 1-6..will cut off the supply of food in Jerusalem..eat rationed food and water..waste away because of their sin vs 16-17.

…calling of the first disciples: Simon and his brother Andrew…fisherman..the Sea of Galilee..fishers of men..at once..left their nets and followed him….James son of Zebedee and his brother John..fisherman..left their father…followed him vs 14-19.
Loc: Capernaum..Sabbath..synagogue to teach..people amazed at his teaching…authority…man in their synagogue..possessed by an evil spirit cried out…Jesus of Nazareth..I know who you are…the Holy One of God…”Be quiet!”.. “Come out of him!”. . shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek..people all so amazed..new teaching ..with authority…gave orders to evil spirits and they obey him…news about him spread quickly…vs 21-28

The goal of this command is love ..comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith..wandered away…meaningless talk..vs 3-7. ..the law is good if a man uses it properly..made not for good men but for the law breakers and rebels, the ungodly….for whatever is contrary to the glorious gospel of the blessed God..entrusted to me vs 8-11.
