Prophets and messengers sent by God were killed by evil men in the past; there will be a day where God will judge these evil men.

The vineyard refers to the Kingdom of God?

the stone the builders rejected becomes the capstone refers to him vs 17-18.

Idols vs God

Psalm 113 &114

The Psalmist is full of praise and trust in the majestic sovereign God who made heavens and earth, and made the earth for human beings vs 16.

Psalm 114:4-8 Man made idols are detestable to God. Why? Because it is an insult to our creator.

Trust in the LORD, fear him….he is their help and shield…be blessed by God vs 12-15…so good and joyful to be blessed by God…

vs 16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD…the earth he has given to man.

TH: the Psalms are so rich in praise (extol) of God; give great insights into the character of God, the universe…who is God etc…it is a man’s duty to praise the awesome God.

vs 3…rising of the sun…the name of the LORDis to be praise

vs 4 The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.

Helps the poor and needy.

Righteous man in God-steadfast

Psalm 112

The righteous person in God is confident, steadfast, will be remembered forever, secure heart (like a rock, solid)…will have no fear…i.e no low self-esteem, can help others.

Righteous before God-…fears God vs 1, generous vs 5, upright, …finds great delight in his commands vs 1, will be blessed vs 2, his children will be mighty in the land vs 2. vs 4 Even darkness light dawns for the upright,…, his righteousness endures forever…, steady in all seasons-constant…consistent, stable, firm vs 4, 6.

vs 10 is…on the wicked man…vexed…gnash his teeth and waste away….

vs 3 Wealth and riches are his house

…spoke effectively.. a great number of Jews and Gentiles believed…also faced stirrers…poisoned…minds against the brother

vs 3…speaking boldly for the Lord…enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.

vs 5…plot…to ill-treat them and stone them…found out…fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe (in modern turkey).

vs 31 Jesus entered Jerusalem on a colt/donkey.

..obedience to his command…vs 34…The LORD needs it…re donkey.
