Trusts God not in your riches

Psalm 49:12-20

You cannot bring your wealth to the grave with you vs 17 whereas for the upright..But God will redeem my soul from the grave; he will surely take me to himself vs 15. Think about the two destinations: one rots in the grave in damnation, the other spend eternity with God..this is what the Bible warns us about. Make sure you climb the right ladder in your lifetime.

Issues: neither hot or cold vs 15; outcome: being spit out or rejected.

...vs 17..self denial or blind..wrong belief..am rich..do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked..

Vs 19…those whom I love I rebuke and discipline..be earnest and repent. .vs 20..stand at the door and knock…hears my voice and opens the door…go in and eat with him, and he with me.

Vs 21..talk about overcomer..give the right to sit with me on my right throne…follows his example..be courageous..

Listen…vs 22 He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Comfort and security in God

Psalm 46-47

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Vs 9: He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. Vs 10 ” Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations..

Psalm 47:7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.

Rf & Th: God is so great and mighty that if you have Him helping you; you have everything; He is all you need..just pray and trust Him without reservations.

King David absolute and unwavering trust in God, Almighty

Psalm 44

Rf: King David in his pit experience cried out his heart-felt prayers to God, and his appeal to God to help him and his people. He never doubted God’s existence or ability to help instead he fervently appealed to God to wake up vs 23, not to hide His face vs 24, t o rise up vs 26. He trusted only God and not in his own strength vs 6. He yearned for God’s help vs 9.
