The unholy alliance with Egypt and Assyria under King Ahaz, trusting power of men not God; the show-off of treasures to the Babylonians by Hezekiah. The punishment of Israelites; exiled to Babylon. Prophecies of God raising up Cyrus (post Isaiah) , the Persian empire, the deliverance of the Israelites from the Babylonians and the rebuilding of God’s temple. The prophecy of the coming of the Messiah. Some of God’s character and attributes are revealed by God in this book.
