1. Love in action-care and compassion for people especially the sick, poor and marginalised. Love above legalism and hypocrisy. Always focus on others. It is not how much you know, it is about how much you love with focus on trust in the sovereign God-the author of life. Relies on Him in all situations like a compass not rely on our feelings.
2. Admired people with great faith– examples:centurion, woman with internal bleeding for years. Taught on child-like faith to enter the kingdom of God.
3. Taught on mercy, compassion, and forgiveness not legalism. Example: King David and His followers eating consecrated bread.
4. Look at intentions of heart rather than appearances and legalism.
5. Taught us how to pray with heart felt sincerity.
6. Taught on building the Kingdom of God. Not weigh down by worldliness including material riches.
7. Taught on the cost of discipleship-persecution, sacrifice, sufferings etc. Demonstrate this on the cross.
8. Taught to serve with humility yet exhibit power and authority to bring glory to God.
9. Taught to serve others-true greatness.
10. Prophesy his own death and resurrection.
11. Taught us how to live an abundant life free from the slavery or bondage.
12. Taught us He is the way, the truth, and the life; the resurrection of life; the living water; the light of the world; the salt of the earth; the Son of God; I am; the Messiah , and so many more.
